10 Tips to Enable LearnersThis is a featured page

1. Want to practice writing and
collect friends at the same time? Log in at
www.twitter.com and start chatting. You'll find
friends who like the same things as you do.
You can do it because you only have to
write one or two sentences at a time.

2. Want to feel better about yourself and your
disability? Check out www.YouTube.com .
Type learning disability in the search bar and
watch something good for you.

3. Do you need a terrific class
presentation but have trouble with writing and
organization? Check out the images on www.Flickr.com.
Click on the "create stuff" icon and make your project.

4. Do you suspect a memory or attention
problem, and need to hear something
over and over? Why not create a podcast
in garageband, put it in iTunes and play it
as much as you want on your i-pod? To find out
more, check out the How to Podcast page on this
site.

5. Need help in a group project? Get your friends to go on
a wikispace, www.wetpaint.com, and do the work together. They can correct
your writing mistakes for you and you can get your cool ideas
out there to help the project along.

6. Make a blog at www.wordpress.com Talk about why learning is hard for you.
Search the site for other people with learning disabilities and
start sharing. Share your cite with Centam or the Learning
Associates and get professional feedback.

7. Have trouble learning sight words? Put a powerpoint on
YouTube, with one word on each page, and practise, practise,
practise wherever you are, whenever you want.

8. Do you have a non-verbal learning disability? Do you need
help rehearsing social skills? Do you want to be more creative
and imaginative? Get a second life to help you in the real world.
Go to www.secondlife.com and learn how to interact with people.
Good luck!

9. Do you need things represented visually before you get the
picture? Go to www.kartoo.com . This search engine has a
visual interface. It finds all kinds of info from other search engines
and turns it into a graphic organizer. Have fun!

10. Do you need lots of extra resources from the web to help you
get your work done? Why don't you put them all in one page
within easy reach? Your dictionary, thesaurus, maps, visual aids, and podcasts, can all meet in one place. Go to www.igoogle.com
and set up a place to help you learn. Don't forget to
use google reader to put a lot of helpful sites together for
you!

This is a fantastic list of ideas. I like where you've provided the links to the recommended sites - is that possible for all of them? Very user-friendly.
